Chantelle is coming to stay for a short period of time with us from Monday... She's 15 and troubled. Apparently smart and sporty. No contact with the family necessary for us. However she may go missing for periods of time.

wow when did this happen? sounds like it will be a challenge of a totally different kind? so when you say goes missing does that mean she does runners or does that mean she is going back to the family? As always if there is anything we can do,we are always here for you guys

Wow. That's major. Good on you. Very brave I say. But you just could be the ones to make a difference. Go girls. Girl power to you!
Does runners: apparently she is an 'absconder'. (Though the party line on this doesn't actually place much more responsiblity on us than making the right notifications, so no midnight drives round the nether regaions of the Horowhenua or Kapiti coast!)
I wanted to take the chance to say that you lot are an amazing source of support and I really appreciate it. It probably sounds all awful because we vent to you our frustrations, fears and anger, but trust me there are a lot of good parts to this too ;-)
As for helping out a wayward fifteen year old veering in the wrong direction... work a crack eh Nige? (and by Nige I don't mean... well you know what I mean!)
BREAKING NEWS: A certain 15 year old did the dash from her previous caregivers this morning and is suspected to be with her BF (more information on this to follow!).
This could get interesting.
So, where are we at now?
we're 'waiting' for news. Who knows how long it will take for her to appear (although the BF does have a warrant out...)
